Perfect timing?
2 Month of career GAP seems nothing but for me who had been occupied for 7+9+0.5 years it is hard for me to accept.
Within these 2 month my daily routine is working on some application in the morning, send kids to school, clean up the house, pick kids from school, afternoon nap, send kids to activities, pick kids from activities and the cycle keeps repeating. It is not fun and now only i realised how hard it is to become a stay at home dad/mom. Adding in the stress of being unemployed, its even harder.
Few rounds of negotiation, expecting a big pay cut, finally i got a date. Some says is a downgrade but for me i think it is an upgrade. I believe this should be the best platform for me to thrive and to achieve a peak of my career.
No more financial estimation, LE submission and pointless business review ppt. No more strategic and tactical shit. Finally it is now hands on doing the REAL work. Engaging with people, building relationship and also growing the business.
It will be a huge change and this is all within my expectation. Now all i am asking for is support from my family, giving me the space to do my things...I know this will be a busy job, even not started yet, i felt sorry for my wife and kids, there will be less time spending together but don't worry, papa is working hard and i am sure papa will try his best to be there...
My 1st day at work 1st July!
Gary
